Undergraduate at Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute - UC SanDiego
My name is Kaiwen Bian and I am a 4th year undergraduate student at UC SanDiego double majoring in Data Science and Cognitive Behavoral Neuroscience. I like making symbols come to reality and I am passionate about solving interesting real world engineering problems by looking at it through different statistical, computational, and biological lens; using ideas and data across disciplines to bring novel solutions to reality. Check the Ideology section for some research philosophy I have. Outside of my academic life, I enjoy skateboarding and diving into the world of exercise physiology, kinesiology, and nutrition.
I am a student researcher mentored by Talmo Pereira from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and Scott Linderman from the Statistics Department and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute at Stanford University
